Diverse Learners Symposium
@ CUE 2010 (Computer Using Educators) Annual Conference
Palm Springs, CA
March 4-6, 2010

We are happy to announce that at the 2010 Annual CUE Conference, the Special Education Teacher Technology Specialists (SETTS) program will be partnering with the CUE 2010 for the Diverse Learners Symposium. http://cue.org/conference/dl

The Diverse Learners Symposium is a new feature of the CUE 2010. The CUE 2010 conference theme is “Challenge the Present Design the Future: Tools for Universal Learning.” The Diverse Learners Symposium is an additional 34 sessions devoted to the needs of our diverse learners, expanding the outreach of the CUE 2010 to the Assistive Technology Community.

We are very pleased to announce that Linda Wyatt, Consultant with the California Department of Education (CDE), Special Education Division, and Jonn Paris-Salb, Administrator of the Clearinghouse for Specialized Media and Translation, will open the Diverse Learners Symposium at CUE 2010. The speakers will join us via a two-way video conference from the CDE in Sacramento, Thursday morning, March 4, 2010.

The SETTS program is a collaboration between the West End SELPA and Region 10 RIMS CTAP. In its 10th year, the SETTS program works with special education teachers in sharing new ideas in assistive technology and bringing those ideas to the classroom. http://setts.ctap10.org/

The Diverse Learners Symposium at CUE 2010 will have its own venue this year at the Hilton Hotel, one block from the main CUE 2010 conference center. The symposium is included in the full CUE Conference registration fee.

We invite you to register for and attend the CUE Conference, March 4-6, 2010. Please feel free to forward this news to your colleagues who would be interested in attending the 2010 Annual CUE Conference and the Diverse Learners Symposium.
