Technology Integration Coaching Program
The RIMS CTAP Technology Integration Coaching Program is a multi-day program that supports the use of research-based best practices in integrating technology into the standards-based curriculum, using a collaborative coaching model. The Coaching Program provides ongoing training for Technology Integration Coaches in leadership skills including best practices of technology integration, coaching and mentoring skills, classroom observation and modeling techniques, change process, and data-driven decision-making. RIMS CTAP supports coaches throughout the year with online discussion forums and face-to-face meetings to further hone skills and provide immediate feedback on observation data.
At their site, Technology Integration Coaches model effective instructional strategies utilizing technology, facilitate conversations about student learning, provide hands-on individual and small-group professional development in technology use and integration, and use collaborative coaching strategies to assist teachers with building their own instructional skills.
