Data Coaching Academy

The purpose of the Data Coaching Academy is to increase student achievement in all student subgroups by applying data-driven decision-making across district, site, and classroom levels.

Technology Integration Coaching

The RIMS CTAP Technology Integration Coaching Program is a multi-day program that supports the use of research-based best practices in integrating technology into the standards-based curriculum, using a collaborative coaching model. The Coaching Program provides ongoing training for Technology Integration Coaches in leadership skills including best practices of technology integration, coaching and mentoring skills, classroom observation and modeling techniques, change process, and data-driven decision-making. RIMS CTAP supports coaches throughout the year with online discussion forums and face-to-face meetings to further hone skills and provide immediate feedback on observation data.

Data Teams

The Data Teams workshop is designed for administrators and teacher leaders who want to become a site-level Data Team to support assessment literacy at their school site. The Data Teams training is based on the Data-Driven Decision-Making protocol from Doug Reeves and the Center for Performance Assessment. Participants will learn and practice a simple yet powerful data protocol and process to implement data teams at the school and classroom levels. Classroom teachers, serving as data team leaders, will understand their role to create agendas, monitor time, listen, and help move the team through the assessment data protocol as it relates to their grade level or department. Site administrators will understand the importance of meeting with the data team leaders to collect and analyze student achievement data and to discuss strategies to share this information school wide. Participants will learn the importance of safety in data dialogue, and some strategies to create that safe environment.

Professional Development for Administrators

To support administrators in this era of standards, assessments and performance expectations, RIMS CTAP provides training and support specifically designed for administrators who want to strengthen the professional skills increasingly demanded of them.

In addition, the principals will understand how to connect to, and navigate through, the vast amount of available instructional resources for classroom and school use.

Curriculum Support and Instructional Practices

RIMS CTAP provides a variety of professional development opportunities that focus on research-based instructional practices utilizing technology.

Adopted Materials Training

In collaboration with the Riverside County Office of Education, RIMS CTAP has developed online resources in support of adopted curriculum and AB 466 trainings. Resources include online support for teachers, students, and parents in addition to supplemental curriculum Internet websites. The support website offers links to several adopted publishers as well as supportive content for teachers, staff, and parents.
