K-12 High Speed Network presents PDC Videoconference: Cisco Switching

The K12HSN is pleased to announce an upcoming Professional Development Café (PDC) videoconference/webstream presentation. This is the first session in an upcoming monthly series presented by Cisco, and is titled “Cisco Catalyst Switching and Routing Architectures and Performance”. The session will be presented by Tim Bostrom, Systems Engineer for Cisco.

Topics include ASIC and system architecture, the latest Cisco Catalyst Supervisors engine, Netflow security (NFL), Catalyst Edge Switching, and the newly introduced PoE and Optical line cards. The presentation will also cover key Cisco innovations such as CEF/Multicast Forwarding, Catalyst Security, High Availability (SSO, NSF and ISSU), and Enhanced QoS Services.
