2007 California School Technology Survey – 100% completion

Thanks to the efforts of many school site and district personnel, RIMS Region 10 has once again reached 100% completion for 2007 the California School Technology Survey (CSTS). All 996 schools in Region 10, as well as all 70 district offices completed the survey. Region 10 did miss a “hat trick” as one of the region’s charter schools failed to meet the deadline in completing the survey.

The 2007 CSTS raw data has been compiled and is available to sites and districts. Districts and sites use the same login to enter the CSTS website as they did to complete the CSTS. Once in the district account, the raw data for all schools in the district can be downloaded.

Work is being done to develop reports through EdTechProfile that incorporate pieces of the data for easy reporting. Now in development is the Tech Plan Report that will focus on the data districts need to develop sections 3b, 4a, and 5a of their district tech plans. The Tech Plan Report is expected to “go live” within the next 6 weeks.

Currently available through EdTechProfile is the K-12 Voucher Report which gives a “snapshot” view of technology at a school site that can be used when planning the expenditure of K-12 Vouchers. The K-12 Voucher Report is available through EdTechProfile by scrolling down to the bottom of the Home page after logging into your EdTechProfile account. The 2007 CSTS data is expected to be part of the K-12 Voucher Report in the upcoming weeks.
