Twenty-first century learning is at the forefront of TICAL’s vision. We have added a pre-formulated search of related resources in the Hot Topics area of the home page that provides individuals various with technologies, best practices, and models of 21st century learning. Podcasting for example, is an emerging technology used in the classroom. TICAL is well versed in podcasting.

Radio TICAL is a podcasting program to help administrators get the most out of educational technology. We have produced several episodes in which TICAL cadre members and other education and technology experts share practical information on various topics. Recent episodes include “Finding, Hiring, Training, and Keeping a Quality Technology Staff, Exemplary Uses of Technology in Education,” “The Countryside Experience, and Technology Trends: Past, Present, and Future.” Episodes soon to become available are “Pioneers on the Oregon Trail: Brining a Staff, School, and Community into the Technology Age” and “Cell Phones on Campus: Driving you Crazy?” To listen, visit http://www.portical.org/podcasts or, if you have iTunes, you can now search the podcasts’ directory in the iTunes store for Radio TICAL. Administrators are invited to submit topics for future programs at http://portical.org/surveys/topic_sugg.htm

Besides podcasting, TICAL has focused on cyber safety and educational practice from a business perspective. Here are some resources that have recently been added to the TICAL database.
