Thinkfinity.Org Train the Trainer Workshop hosted by CTAP

This two-day hands-on workshop provides certification as a Field Trainer for Thinkfinity.org. The Thinkfinity program provides free, standards-based, high quality online resources. Participants will be prepared to customize and conduct training sessions at their districts. Attendees will walk away with their own classroom integration plan, site/district training plan, and valuable resources to enhance student learning.

Benefits

  • Certification as a Field Trainer: participants will receive certification to deliver Thinkfinity Training to other educators in the district to help integrate Thinkfinity resources into the curriculum to enhance student learning.
  • Thinkfinity.org Content is Free: aligned to the national and state educational content standards. It is created and approved by leading education and literacy organizations.
  • Lessons: exciting, interactive, fun, and cover a depth and breadth of topics. Including: thousands of K-12 lesson plans, student materials, calendars of historic events, and integrating strategies.
  • Resources: can be readily used by an individual student, teacher, parent, small group, or whole class
  • Literacy Materials: targeted to early childhood, elementary, middle school, secondary, family, adult, and English Language Learners
  • Links: discipline-specific websites that focus on science, humanities, geography, history, math, art, economics, and reading/language skills.

  • Target Audience: K-12 teachers, professional development staff, media specialists, literacy program managers, and after school program leaders.
  • Prerequisites: Basic computer and word processing skills.
  • Fee: There is no fee. This training is sponsored and funded by the Verizon Foundation
