The California Technology Assistance Project of Region 10 (RIMS CTAP) is a public organization that provides educational technology support and professional development. RIMS CTAP has a staff of expert educators who train teachers and administrators in the use of educational technology to improve student learning.
Lead Project Specialist Gregg Legutki to Retire
It is with a heavy heart that RIMS CTAP bids farewell to long-time Project Specialist Gregg Legutki, who will retire on November 2, 2012. Gregg has served the RIMS region for more than 14 years, providing professional development to hundreds of teachers, administrators and other school staff and serving as a leader in the integration of technology to support diverse learners.
Call to Teachers: Have Your Students Present at the CUE Student Technology Showcase
Apply now for your students to present at the CUE Student Technology Showcase in Palm Springs on March 16, 2013. Teachers with groups of up to five students are encouraged to submit an application to present a technology-enhanced project to educators, parents, and legislators at this exciting event. The showcase will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the lobby of the Palm Springs Convention Center from 10:00 to 11:45 am.
K-12 Voucher Product Eligibility Lists Released
The CDE has announced that the Microsoft Settlement Claims Administrator has released new Product Eligibility Information, including a list of approved computer hardware and software, technology maintenance, professional development, or other related services that schools may purchase with vouchers they have already received through the Education Technology K-12 Voucher Program. The program was created in 2006 as a result of the settlement of a class-action lawsuit brought by California consumers and businesses concerning certain Microsoft software.
