The focus of the Podcasting for K-12 Educators workshops is to learn how to incorporate podcasts into the K-12 curriculum to increase student engagement. Participants will explore the different types of podcasts and how they may be used to support the curriculum. By using a computer and microphone, participants will create and publish a podcast for enhancing a classroom lesson.

Outcomes
- Understand how and why podcasts engage students in the classroom and their world.
- Understand the different types of podcasts – audio, enhanced and video that can be published to the web.
- Create a podcast that can be used to communicate concepts and ideas with students, parents and colleagues.
- Understand the copyright and fair use guidelines as they apply to podacsts.
- Understand the ways that podcasts are published on the Internet.
